The Powerbomb is a Pro Wrestling technique invented by Lou Thesz, which involves grabbing the opponent by the waist and slamming them neck-and-shoulders first into the ground.
In the first manga series, Yoshiki Takaishi used this technique against Seiya Kouno during the T.D.K tournament.
