Wakabashi is a fictional character from manga series of Tough.

History

Wakabashi is a member of the Yakabayashi family the only rival to the Shindou family. He his also hinted to have had a hand in Rikimaru Shindou fathers assassination attempt.

During the Dark Fights he tried to assassinate Kichi after he defeated Kengo but was stopped when Rikimaru showed up. He later poisoned him before his match with Zion.

It turned out that borrowed 300 million yen to promote The Zion from Kantodojokai yakuza group. So after Zion’s loss he and Rikimaru both new he wouldn’t be allowed to live. Realizing this Wakabashi sent his bodyguards out and afterwards Rikimaru gave him a gun to end his life but he pointed it at Rikimaru instead. However Rikimaru expected that and Wakabashi was killed
